Hank's Farm

Terrific rustic dining and local favorite built inside an old barn. They have a great salad bar with all the extras including fresh baked bread and a cheese block. My wife normally doesn't like salad bars but she loves it at Hank's. There's a nice selection of food items ranging from fried chicken to ravioli, as well as several mixed drinks and beer to choose from. The service is attentive and friendly which means we always have a good dinner experience. A special callout to our friend Tom Murphy. If you see Tom on your visit you'll see a guy who loves what he does and it shows. You're the best Tom!

Due to shelter in place we ordered out Easter dinner from Hanks. Wonderful dinner! We had ham for two mashed potatoes,glazed carrots, salad homemade bread, and stuffing..very generous portions!!!! Service was quick easy and smooth..highly recommend!!! had ham for

We met family there and truly enjoyed the Sunday Brunch. We had a noon reservation, (i highly recommend having a reservation) and were greeted and seated right away. Our server was outstanding, our drinks were kept full the whole time and we would barely finish with a plate and she would be taking it away. The food was very good and the buffet was always kept hot, fresh and full.

Place is absolutely amazing if you have a chance to try the chicken it really is good it is worth the drive and no matter where you're coming from they have a nice salad bar and the prices are really reasonable at $12.99 plus tax it comes with stuffing that comes with spaghetti and it also comes with a salad bar people here are very friendly

The barn and animals makes this look super cute and authentic, but it is far from it. Our waitresses were sweet, but the food was awful. Every single food was cafeteria frozen food, including desserts. Our family was so disappointed. We will not be returning. For nearly $20/ person.... this is a highway robbery!

This place has phenomenal food, we loved the chicken and the salad bar was great! The service was perfect and they were extremely friendly and accommodating! We will definitely go back here again! The food was reasonably priced too! The atmosphere was very cozy and warm!

Take a drive in the country to Hank's to enjoy the fresh foods at the breakfast and dinner buffets. The selection is considerable. I was amazed at the impressive size of the oysters on the half shell! Six will fill a dinner plate. The desserts were a plentiful variety and delicious. We were served by Helen, who was pleasant, friendly, and attentive. She will cheer you up! Afterward, take a walk around the restaurant to the pond and see the peacocks and peahens wandering the grounds. There is also a gift shop, but it was closed by the time we finished lunch. We'll have to go back soon!

What an amazing experience. We were busting from out of town and picked a random restaurant to eat. So rustic and cute. Everyone is super friendly. When the server found out it was our anniversary they gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne and a balloon! Their food was great. Overall wonderful experience really made our anniversary special.

Everything was good, two issues. First is the smell in the bathroom I understand they were forced to switch to city sewage, but they need to fix that smell, it smelled worse then any bathroom I have ever smelt before. But on that the food was great, prime rib was a little pricey but splitting the 20oz made it ok. Only issue I had was the mash potatoes had a mushroom gravy with canned mushrooms, change that to fresh sauteed mushrooms and it will make all the difference. Food was fresh and hot drinks were strong and we'll priced. Very homie felling, little dates but I like the old rustic look and felling. Server was perfect, was right there when we needed him. Gave use plenty of time. Tommy made the atmosphere great.

The salad bar is fantastic! Although the giant cheese block could be higher quality... Still a really great place to eat!

This place is absolutely amazing the food, staff, decor is just welcoming. I brought my husband on a date here and they had pork belly appetizer which was out of this world amazing.

Hank's holds a special place in my heart. I grew up and live in Ohio but visit here everytime I am in Ottawa. The owners (the entire family) are wonderful people that have put so much love into this place. I am beyond happy to see how it keeps changing yet stays the same with amazing food and family atmosphere. Walking in feels like I am home and ready to eat!!

Recently a group of seniors and I visited the restaurant and Christi was our server. She is a gem. She went above what a normal server would do to take care of my residents, helping them with the salad bar and making helpful recommendations on what they could order for dinner. We recently visited another local restaurant and were not treated the same (quite poorly actually.) So thank you Christi for your kindness and sweet personality. All of my residents were smiling all night and that is pretty special.

Food was good but couldn't get in the bathroom I'm in a wheelchair I had to leave half way through dinner first time I saw my sister in 5 months won't see her for 6 months now

We had a great time. Our waitress was as good as it gets. She waited on us in a friendly and timely manner. Answered all our questions and continued to check on us . Just a really good time we will be back.

The salad bar was impressive. It had a variety of fresh salads and bread. The food portions were big. I had the chicken and my husband had the chicken livers. The livers were the most tender I have ever tasted.We took a piece of fresh carrot cake to go.

Very good steaks and fried chicken! Salad bar has good choices. Have always had good service. Went for New Year's and had a great meal. Service once again was excellent and the food was great as always.

Good food, a little pricey. Chicken was a little chewy and bland, needs seasoning. Ketchup bottle was clogged with half inch of black hardened old ketchup. Salad bar could use pudding, pears or peaches. Really good steaks though.

Meal after family Cemetery - furnural. Menu was nice. Chicken livers , salad variety of breads, salads, pasta, lettuce. Very delicious. Largest tenderloin ordered ever from a friend. Yummy. Beautiful old barn. Inside woodwork so pretty. Must visit if you are around Ottawa Illinois. We came from Carlisle Iowa.🌷🌷❤☘

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Salad bar is great and fresh. I had the Baked Penne with meat sauce, OMG it's huge and very tasty. Will definitely be returning to Hank's. There are Peacock's, ducks, geese and horses on the farm. Also check out the gift shop.
